---How Our Church Began
In the year 1900, C. W. Gray, who was born in Dobson, North Carolina, came to Maury County, Columbia, Tennessee and began preaching this great truth of the Bible. This seemed to be strange doctrine to some, but he continued to preach, Be Ye Holy, Follow Peace with All Men, and Holiness without which No Man Shall See the Lord. Hebrews 12:14 But as it was with John the Baptist preaching in the wilderness of Judea, there were some who believed among them.  Among those who believed Elder Gray were Brother and Sister Webster who gave him a plot of land with a house on it for a place of worship located at 507 Hannaway Street; this became the first Original Church of God in Tennessee.

Our Church and Doctrine is based on Sanctification (blessed, cleansed, approved, endorsed and pure) and Holiness (purified, integrity, of moral character and free from sin).   • We believe the in faith of the Holy Trinity – God -Father, Son and the Holy Ghost (1 John 5:7)
  • The Plan of Salvation – Hearing the gospel (John 5:14); Faith through believing and trusting in God’s Word (Romans 10:17); Repentance – Godly sorrow when a sinner withdraws from sin; Confession – accept Jesus Christ as your person Savior (Romans 10:8-10; Baptism – water baptism after the confession of sin (Matthew 28:19.
---Our National Body

Our local church is a member of the body of the Original Church of God Sanctified, Inc. This church body consists of churches in Kentucky, Tennessee, Ohio, Illinois, Michigan, Pennsylvania and Ghana, West Africa. 

The entire body of members assembly twice a year at our June Convocation (location changes each year) and our August – National Convocation in Nashville, Tennessee at our National Headquarters located at 1807 County Hospital Road, Nashville, Tennessee 37218.
